Leslie is a licensed speech-language pathologist in California and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She received her B.A. in Communications at the University of Southern California and her M.A. in Communicative Disorders at California State University, Fullerton. Leslie is conversationally fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese.
She currently works in both acute care and outpatient settings where she has experience evaluating and treating adult and pediatric populations in the areas of swallowing, voice, cognitive communication, articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language, and fluency. Leslie has had previous experience in various settings: clinics, preschool, elementary, and high schools, and acute rehabilitation.
Leslie’s therapy philosophy revolves around evidence-based practice, close collaboration with individuals and their caregivers, and providing functional, individualized treatment plans and goals.
Leslie is a big fan of gardening, rock climbing, and eating food her husband makes.
