Nancy Rosenberg

Nancy earned her Masters of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from George Washington University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a California State License as a practicing Speech and Language Pathologist, and teaching credentials in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary and special education from the University of Hartford.

Nancy has over 35 years of experience working with children in the home, preschool/daycare, and elementary school settings. She has planned and implemented therapy for children with developmental disabilities, language delays, language-based learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and speech sound disorders. Through administering and interpreting assessments, she has identified the needs of her students, developed goals based on their needs, and created individualized therapy plans tailored to each child. Nancy has experience collaborating with parents and team members to deliver the most effective services. She encourages parent involvement by teaching parents how to embed their child’s speech and language goals into everyday activities to increase generalization of skills.

Nancy is trained in the following parent education programs:

~ Hanen: It Takes Two To Talk* (program for parents of children with expressive and receptive language delay)
~ Hanen: More Than Words* (program for parents of children on the Autism Spectrum or demonstrating social communication concerns)
~ Hanen: Target Word* (program for parents of late talkers/children with delayed expressive language)

~ Hanen: Learning Language and Loving It* (early childhood teacher education program for development of language and social skills)

Nancy moved to Marina Del Rey from the D.C. Metro area in 2019. She is enjoying biking, kayaking, and exploring areas around her new home.
