Athena received her B.S. in English Education and her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from New York University. She is licensed by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board (SLPAB), and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has worked as a travel speech language pathologist for 5 years, which allowed her to work in New York, Florida, and California. She has experience working with a wide range of clients with differing abilities and needs, from toddlers to adults. She has worked in various settings such as early intervention, preschool, K-12, home health and skilled nursing facilities which shaped her into a flexible and well-rounded therapist. In addition, she has been a supervisor for SLP assistants for the past three years.
Her strengths include creativity and counseling families to get the most out of their sessions and beyond. In her free time, she likes to bike, surf, and hike.
